It was one of the coldest nights of winter; it was my second trip ever outside my country. I felt many mixed emotions and feelings, fear, joy, hope, and sadness. I came without notifying any of my friends, so once I arrived I called my friend and it appeared that he was not in the same city, however, he phoned one guy and asked him to host me for few days till I find a place to live. I went to the apartment by taxi and paid $ 50 for that, his apartment was in the downtown area, Toronto. In the same night, there was another guy coming, but he arranged his staying with the people in the apartment, and he was told to use the subway, he was from the capital city, and we use to know that the people of the capital are more open and know more tricks than people in the countryside.
We slept that night and stayed for few days in the apartment, then he went to Edmonton, Alberta, and I stayed for few more days, and then I moved to another house in Hastings the east part of Toronto. After one month, my friends asked me to move with them and I agreed. I stayed in the same apartment since then, it was touchy and stressful to see people coming and leaving while you are still at the same place.
Days go by and we look back, we wake up in the morning at 9 am, we go to the library, study, and study until 11 pm, then we go back to the apartment to eat and sleep.
I attended a refreshing course for my exam that needed by overseas graduates, and then I wrote the exam in May, then I started looking for a job, I asked some friends to find a job, and one good guy gave me a phone number of an entrepreneur who has a franchise of restaurants, actually, he gave me the number of his assistant, who told me to go to another guy, an owner of one restaurant, and ask him for a job, after few days, I went there, and the guy told me to come for training, and after a while, he accepted me to work at his store.
